How can I sort the content of folders according to my needs?

On the one hand the platform supports sorting folder contents like in the Windows Explorer by criteria like name, author or date.

  1. Select the desired folder. The main window will display the folder content.

  2. The headings name, created by, created on and last changed on are marked blue. By clicking on one of the headings the folder content will be sorted by the selected criterion. The content is sorted ascending (from A-Z). For a descending order (Z-A) click on the heading once more. The new order is not saved. When you select the folder on your next session the folder will be in its original condition.

On the other hand your can determine the order of all objects. For example you can move document that you need frequently to the top of the list. Doing this requires editing rights for the folder.

  1. Select the desired folder in the navigation tree on the left.

  2. Select edit this object in the context menu on the right.

  3. Select Free Ordering in the main window. Now you can move single document and subfolder up and down until the desired order is arranged by clicking on the arrows next to their names.

  4. Confirm by clicking Save.

  5. The folder content will now be displayed as arranged by you in the folder structure on the left as well as in the content overview. This order is permanently saved until you resort it.
