In order to create a new group you need certain rights.If you do not have these rights, some menu points are not displayed.
Select the menu item under in the content menu on the right side of the screen.

Please enter following information:
Group nameName of the group.
PasswordIn order to limit the access to the group please enter a password. If other members would like to join they either need this password or the permission of the founder of the group.
Create group folderSelect this point, if you would like the new group to receive an own folder. This folder has the same name of the group and is automatically created. Only group members may read or edit documents in this folder. The group folder can be changed or moved at any time.
Create news category for groupSelect this point if you want the group to have its own news category in order to exchange messages. Only group members can access and view news in this category. Find out more about news here.
DescriptionHere you can describe the new group more precise by entering a free text.

Once you have created a group you automatically become the contact person of that group. Contact persons have editing rights for the group and hence may create or add new members. You are also automatically notified if any one applies for membership for the group. Additionally you are listed on the group page and can be directly contacted as group founder.
