Annual International Conference

GARNET holds an annual international conference (AIC) each year, intended to engage network members and scholars from outside the network on key GARNET research themes.

AIC 2009 - Fourth GARNET Annual Conference

The conference is held in Rome from 11th -13th of November 2009 on the topic of "Food Security and Sustainable Development: Challenges for the Governance of International Relations". It is hosted by the Research Centre for International Economics (CIDEI) of Sapienza University of Rome, in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), and the World Food Programme (WFP). Past Conferences

AIC 2008: ‘Mapping Integration and Regionalism in a Global World : The EU and regional governance outside The EU’, 17-19 September 2008, Bordeaux. The third annual conference was hosted by Science Po Bordeaux.

AIC 2007: ‘Pathways to Legitimacy? The Future of Global and Regional Governance’, 17-19 September 2007, Warwick. The second annual conference was hosted by the Centre for the Study of Globalisation and Regionalisation (CSGR), University of Warwick and was timed to coincide with the CSGR 10th anniversary celebrations.

AIC 2006: ‘Global Financial and Monetary Governance, the EU and Emerging Market Economies’, 28-30 September 2006, Amsterdam.
